Uninstall

Remove the agent from a node, with or without its containers and data.

Edit on GitHub

Run the installer with uninstall on the node, as root:

curl -fsSL https://install.seylo.dev | sudo sh -s -- uninstall

This stops and disables seylo.service, removes its systemd units and the /usr/local/bin/seylo binary. Your services keep running until they stop or the server reboots, and /var/lib/seylo is kept, so nothing is lost if you change your mind and install again.

Remove everything

curl -fsSL https://install.seylo.dev | sudo sh -s -- uninstall --purge

--purge also removes every container, network and volume that carries the seylo.managed=true label, and the whole /var/lib/seylo folder. Containers and volumes Seylo did not create are left alone. Docker itself, and firewall rules the installer added, stay.

On the panel's node, --purge deletes the panel

The panel's database and master.key live in /var/lib/seylo/panel/. Purging the panel's node deletes the panel with every project, person and setting. Take a backup first if you might need it.

In the panel

Uninstalling does not tell the panel. Remove the node on Nodes (the node's settings, Remove node) so the panel forgets it and its key. Move its services to another node first if you want to keep them; see Moving services.

--dry-run prints what uninstall would do without changing anything.
