Introduction
Seylo is a self-hosted panel that deploys apps, databases and compose stacks to your own Linux servers. One panel controls any number of nodes.
How the pieces fit
- The panel is the web app, the HTTP API and the MCP server, in one container. It runs as a protected service in a project called "Panel" on one of your servers.
- Nodes are the servers your services run on. Each runs the
seyloagent, which dials out to the panel over one WebSocket and signs in with its own key. A node needs no open ports besides 80 and 443 for your sites. - Your containers run on the nodes, behind Traefik, on a private network per project.
The panel's server is a node too, so one server is enough to start. Add more whenever you like: a node in Germany and one in the US are managed from the same panel, and each keeps running, restarting and routing its services while the panel is down.
What you get
- Deploys from GitHub, any Git host, a Docker image, a Dockerfile you type in the panel or an uploaded archive. Builds use Railpack, Nixpacks or your Dockerfile.
- Health-checked deploys: a new version gets traffic only after it passes, and rolling back to one of the last five versions takes seconds.
- Domains with automatic HTTPS, per-domain basic auth, IP allowlists, rate limits and redirects.
- Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB and Redis with web UIs, shells, TLS exposure and backups to S3 or R2.
- Compose stacks, cron jobs, a template catalog and Box, a VS Code in the browser.
- Logs kept across deploys, metrics with 30 days of history, a console, a shell and a file browser for every volume.
- Crash restarts with reports, alerts to email, webhooks, Discord, Slack, Telegram, ntfy, Pushover and Gotify, and uptime checks.
- Several nodes per service with replicas and load balancing, and moving a service to another node.
- People with roles and per-project or per-service access, 2FA, passkeys, scoped API keys and an activity log.
- A command line, an HTTP API, an MCP server and an AI assistant, all built from the same list of actions with the same permissions.
- It runs next to Pterodactyl or Pelican Wings on a game node, without a VM.
Seylo is open source under AGPL-3.0 and runs entirely on servers you own. Anonymous usage reports are off unless you turn them on.
